Message	get a cheap 18 inch plug wire... remove the #1 coil pack Hook the wire to the plug and the coil attach timing light pick up to the plug wire. Unless you have a very high dollar timing light, it will not read the pulse off of the coil pack wires. Also, if you are reading the ptu loop, sometimes it will be right, sometimes it will register double what the timing actually is.
